Christmas on the River Friday, December 3 and Saturday, December 4
Parkville’s Christmas on the River Celebration
Hosted by the Christmas on the River Committee, Parkville Community Development Corporation, a 501(c) 3 charitable organization.
Parkville’s 18th Annual Christmas on the River celebration is sure to create lasting memories for you and your family. We have lots of special things planned this year for all ages:
For the little tykes: Come see Santa from 5pm to 8:00pm in Santa’s house just south of the main stage. While you’re waiting, take a $1 ride in the “Santa Express” choo-choo train. Santa’s Helpers will be available to escort your family to the Olde Mill for our Children’s Christmas Village where there will be lots of free Christmas-themed activities for kids aged 2-12.
For the shoppers: Stop by the Christmas Market and pick up some Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers, food and something hot to drink while you listen to the music on the main stage! When you’re done there, walk up Main Street and into English Landing Commons and browse through the many unique shops that will be open.
For all ages: While you stroll along Main Street and visit our local merchants, stop and watch a classic movie on the 16 foot screen in Pocket Park or listen to the strolling carolers as they pass. If your feet get tired, hop on a hayride sponsored by Mike Emmick of Edward Jones or ride the Holiday Train
For the traditionalists: Grab a bite to eat downtown or in the Christmas Market, get yourself some hot chocolate or cider and watch all the acts on the main stage and stick around for the 1,000-voice choir finale! Of course, after that, we’ll serve up some of the greatest fireworks around at this time of year!
Admission is FREE!
This year, Christmas on the River events on the main stage will stretch into Saturday from 10am to 4pm, with lots of area Christmas entertainment. Come and be a part of this community tradition.
