Pantry Needs Growing! Throughout The Fall

    Posted By KC  Northlander

Food shortages are nearing critical levels.

Food pantries and distribution centers city-wide are experiencing shortages, including our two Platte County Hillcrest facilities.  We are in need of all foods and pantry items, including soups, cereals, baking goods, hamburger helper kits, canned fruits, lunch items, coffee, diapers, paper products, and cold medicines.  We are also in great need of gift cards and monetary donations for purchasing meats, cheeses, and other perishable foods for our freezers.

We are looking for churches, businesses, and service organizations willing to conduct food drives on our behalf to help meet the need of our families.  While participating in our program, Hillcrest attempts to meet 95% or more of each family's food requirements while they pay off debt and put money to savings necessary to help them acquire a new home upon completion of their 90-day stay.

If you can help out in any way, please email Case Manager Mindy Davis at mdavis@crn.org or call the office at 816-587-9037.  It will make a HUGE difference in the life of a family.
